Posted by Ali on July 12th, 2008 filed in GeneralCan you actually believe it that as much as i’ve always wanted to be in the snow and play in it, i never actually got the chance . However this title was made to tell “snowwhite” that you can tell your mom that i replied . I would say this again to everybody that plz dont make me feel bad in case i cant to you .
SAS …. i think you need to go through my previous blogs too coz i have written about sports . My view on the cricket match and my tabble tennis competitions with my brother and uncle . But anyway i’ll still have your pointers in mind .
Coke studio is on its way . Airing on the 20th of july . What a wonderful experience it was . Working with the legendary Rohail Hyatt and a whole team of outstandingly talented musicians . I hung out at his place to check out the rushes the other day on my way to board out of the country for a day . His studio is exotic . There was also Omran who is a brilliant session guitarist and played for me in the coke show . We had some good pizza and a great discussion . There are some things that you can only relate to if you’re a musician or an artist . I’m so glad being a part of that community . Got so lost in the discussion that ran late for my flight . On top of that as soon as i reached close to the airport i saw a 2 kilometer long line of cars waiting to be checked to let go in . It would’ve taken my car to reach international departure atleast an hour just to cover that much of a distance and the flight would’ve taken off by then . So i did some movie action , held my bag and started pacing towards it . Reached last minute. Saved by the calves !
Ok need to go back into my room now. The thing with this lifestylle is that even if its a 5 star , you still dont get the sleep you get in your own bed at home . Also to sleep alone in a different bed on a different pillow, almost everyother night in a totally different time zone is also a killer . I love my family to be around me . My bros have got the new play station 3 and we end up having some hardcore fifa sessions when i’m home . (girls fifa is a football game ) The ps3 has the new blue ray technology which is even more superior than a dvd so imagine the clarity and the crispness . Can see each and every small peice of hair .
Surround sound . Sit back on my red flat couch . Bowl of Ice cream .. lights off and kick start !!!!! Bring it on !

I know how hard it is to sleep in a hotel. We’ve been stayin in one and I haven’t had a good night’s sleep for almost a week. Ugh!

just wanted to ask i’ve seen already that they use backin’ vocals in coke studio,nothing bad with that though,fair enough.
Buh wat makes me seriously curious is dah is this all teh stuff really live or singers get the luxury of voice filters n key correction n all as in a real studio?
I was jus’ being curious cuz Bilal Maqsood’s Sarkiye performance,i thought,was if really live then one of the greatest live performances i’ve heard.

ali 1 thing i wana tell u..that pehlay bhi bataye the magr shyd apnay read nai kia…neways i wana tell u that..few months past,,i was in my uncles home in pindi…then i went 4 a dinner in pindi hotel pc(pearl continental)wid my czn..there i participated in the competition of table tannis..n then i m the member of the game..there was a vry camps against me to beat me n wana won the game…but in the last match i prayed to allah,,k kash mujzah ho jaye or mein jeet jaon…n u knw ali i won the game….my prize to win the table tannis match is 25000.n trophie…i thing u r foundoff the table tannis…so whenever i saw my trophie in my room i remember u bht bht zeada…mje smjh nai aa raha k meine pindi pc sy tabletannis ki trophie kaisay hassil kar li…i wish ali kay app kay sath i bar table tannis khealon,,,i knw mein haron gi ap sy..bcz that tym i”ll confusd too mch

Snow gets boring. I live in upstate New York, and all we see is snow. You are blessed to be living in Pakistan where all the seasons are profound (unfortunately, the summer is a bit too profound)FIFA is an awesome game, but all game consoles will be shut off after August 8th in my house, for the Olympics. Actually, I can’t even play these days because I am in Washington D.C. serving as a congressional page. Anyways, come to New York to experience the snow! (I tell you to come to NY in every post;))

well u noe how u said in the previous post that u would like it if we can write small msggsZ instead of those long oneZ. im sorry but im gunna have to disobey u todaii. i have a lot to saiii. to start with i know what u mean by *even if its a 5 star , you still dont get the sleep you get in your own bed at home* i onlii realized that when i went to Kearney..as fun as it as i culdnt sleep properlii.. we had these bunk beds adn we had to be partners with someone. i slept on top due to the fact tht my partner was obese and the beds werent very strong. u noe what i mean i right, i dunt want some1 to kill me when im trying to sleep.LOL. as mean as tht may sound its true. and then we went to Pakistan for three months, we traveled all over Pakistan, from Karachi to lahore to Multan to Sahiwal to Pakpattan to Islamabad…welll u gett the point right, we had to sleep on a different bed well charpaii everytime and they werent all that comfyy..im so used to sleeping on beds and since i have my own room i like people to respect my privacy. but Pakistan 10 people slept in 1 room.lol. thtsZ why we had to stay in hotels and motels, the hotel i liked the most was PC. it was absolutely gorgeus! well enuff about that and talking about PC. i was wondering. do u know a guy named WAQAS RATHORE…he told me how u guys are really close frndss and he told me ur whole storyy and ya…so do u know him?please do answer that. other than that. i noe what fifa is..i have three bros and no sister. im like a tomboy…i like doing guy things. since i have no sister i had to play with some1. that some1 turned out to be my bros. i ewould always play with them and i can do anything that a guy can do as well as a guy can do. lol that sounds confusing. so WOW. u have ps3. thtsZ kool. u know whats kool playing ps3 on 70″ full HD TV. thtsz how it happens in my house.LOL. my bros are a BIG fan of video games. theyll buy anything and everything that comes out. first PS2, then nintendo Ds, then PSP, then Wii, then PS3, and the list goes on. lol. i dunt want to bore u any more so ill take ur leave. and please do answer my question…Do u know Waqas Rathore. im quite surprised that you havent been to the snow.
havent you seen snow at pakistan as a kid. the last time i seen snow when i went pakistan 5 years ago, and i can never get bored of it, apart from how cold the weather get, apart from that i love it.

hmm…sweet.
the snow here’s horrible, if always looks pretty when it’s falling but when i go outside there are so many slushy puddles, cause of the cars. it’s disgusting.
o, and about that “yeh hum nahin” video, i thought that was very kind of you guys to make a video like that. but what’s it suposed to do? Tell everybody that we’re not terrorists?If u really think about it, i mean u seem like a person who respects Islam very much, but if our mosques are being destroyed, don’t u think we have every right to take revenge?
Things in pakistan are so horrible. i mean, i don’t live there currently, but my dad watches the news 24/7 and whenever i look there is something horrible going on. it’s pathetic. but then all we do is complain, not do anything to help everybody.i seriously think that instead of making videos, you personally can do A LOT. For example, build homeless shelters, run for pres. id vote for u ;). if the government is too retarded to do something, i think we should or else americans will take over pakistan just like they took over afghanistan and iraq. i don’t even think i do much to help. I mean, we give money to mosques regularly and help as many ppl as possible, but that’s it. RUN FOR PRES.! lolz.

Hi Ali.
Err.. snow isn’t as exciting as it looks. I’ve lived out of Pakistan for 10 years now, and seeing snow every winter has gotten kind of boring. Of course the first time you see it, it’s amazing. However, after that, it doesn’t seem that amazing. lol.
I’ve played FIFA on Wii, its a cool game.
I know this is totally off topic now, but I wanted to reply to one of your old blog posts about diaries. Writing a journal is amazing. As long as you don’t have a little brother and sister who like to snoop in and read them :P. I’ve always written journals. Sometimes it would be about the latest crush, or sometimes things a little bit more interesting, like what if tomorrow never was? The best part about writing a journal is that when you go back to read it; you can either start remembering the old days, or you can think to your self, gosh why was I so stupid. lol. It’s like watching a movie of your own life. I hope you continue to write in your blog, and keep us updated on your thoughts. Even my mothers is fond of your way of thinking. I remember after watching the Nadia Khan Show with you there, she commented and said “kitna tameez ka aadmi hai.”
Anyways, I think this has gotten a bit lengthy now… hehe. Have fun in life!
