Happy independance day to all of you .
I was wanting to see Ramchand Pakistani since it was released . Lucky for me, the day i came back home from an outstation show, my family was on its way to watch it and i was asked to join in, which i was more than happy to do, since they coincidently had an extra ticket in hand. As i sat with a big pop corn bucket in my hand, I damned myself for missing out the part in the beginning where he crosses the border, but rejoiced every bit of it that came later .
I had happened to have met Mehreen ( the director ) once at a small house party and remembered having quite an interesting conversation with her . Hence was expecting something un-average to come from her anyway , but not this un-average !
My belief is that Art lies in making the normal ( otherwise boring/uninteresting ) look/sound fascinating . Thats exaclty what this movie was for me .
For some it may not provide the excitement they would expect out of a commercial song and dance or an action movie but i believe those with the required sensibility and sensitivity shall go through an experience they would like to go through .
Keeping in mind my track record of walking out of most of the films half way which are being recently shown , this was one i sat for even when the curtains closed . Must watch !

I think its a step in the positive direction when artists promote films and such. This is crucial in Pakistan right now. With promotions of films by celebrities such as yourself, more people will flock to the movies, and perhaps the film industry will have a revival.

Oh, they do play the Bolly flicks here. Hmm.

i know i m late but no problem.welli just hear the name of that movie,so i have no idea.but will try to watch.normally i am not movies fan.i can not sit for 3 hours at the same place and also i can not for the end.so on internet i use to watch the end.i know it is not good thing but mera suspence itna zayada ho jata hay so mein pahlay end dekh ker phir movie dekhti hun ,lol
khuda kay liye was the only movie.which i have watched without this thing.
well also pray for our country.God gave us true leaders like bani-e-pakistan but the leaders of today’s pakistan.ufffffffff.
wellu have better idea then me.

Yeah i loved the movie … .n about ur record of leavin the movie half way .,. hahaha.. it reminds me of some other movie.. The movie was short though but original and have the symbolic meanin to.. it was like readin beyond the lines.. amazin direction … n worth the time

AOA TO Mr.ALI ZAFAR and all of u out there.
i could not wish u happy independence day before .my computer was busted any way i would like to share something that i realized that day because that day WAPDA increased an hour in our load shedding schedual and due to a technical problem we were forced to face 3 extra hours of no electricity but that made me realize that even after all these problems we r still a great nation i mean tell a gora to sit in this heat for 9 hours with no electricity (no offense to my gora brothers and sisters)but the point is we can adjust to even the most severe conditions and we have a lot of patience and if only we start being patient with ther pakistanis we can be on top of the world a place where pakistanis belong.well i have said to much sorry about that bye for now.

I wanted to wish you a happy and blessed Ramadan and I hope Inshallah it is going well for you. I gave a post in the “Mango-Tango” section and seeing as I was the 140th to post, I wanted to try here. I was asking if you ever played Guitar Hero. It is a great game and a good alternative when you need a break from FIFA. I also wanted to say that in your busy life, you take the time to answer us sometimes and I think it is really sweet of you to do that. Then for us, our pyar isn’t one sided. Inshallah I also pray for your wellbeing as I see you are a role model for so many. I wish you would come to Seattle, Washington. All of my friends(desi, white, and arab) would all come and see you. I want to see you live. I have a feeling you would be great. Your Aasmon Ko unplugged is a feat to do without anything except your beautiful voice (Mashallah) and an acoustic guitar and you were perfect. I know cuz I was checking! ;-p Oh, and even if you perform in Vancouver, B,C. I would still come for it is about 3 hours from me. And one last thing is that you really blow my mind with your sensitivity and kindness. I hope it’s real because you are too much. But I then think that Pakistani men (a lot, not all), really take care of their loved ones. They feel it is Farz, and I love this about your culture. Anyhoo, take care and I will always have you and everyone here in my prayers.
